How to do it
Facing away from a low pulley, you lift a handle or rope straight forward to about shoulder height. The cable gives smoother, more even resistance than a dumbbell through the whole lift, and is easy to do one arm at a time.
- Stand with the cable running between your legs or beside you.
- Keep your arm nearly straight and raise it forward to shoulder height.
- Brace your core so your torso doesn’t rock.
- Lower slowly against the pull of the cable.

How to track it
Musclist logs Cable Front Raise as weight × reps. The weight starts from your last set, and the ± buttons step 2.5 kg (5 lb) at a time — the way this equipment usually goes up — though you can type any weight.
