MusclistLooking for a free alternative to Fitbod?

Why lifters switch to Musclist
Free after day 7, and day 700
There is no trial and nothing to cancel. Logging, your routine, the muscle map and the weekly report stay free.
Your program, not a generated one
Already follow a split or a coach’s plan? Save it as a routine of up to 30 workouts. Home suggests the next one, with last time’s numbers for each exercise.
AI coaching notes every week
Opt in and AI reads a summary of your training week, without your name or email: volume against last week, sets per muscle and what to adjust next.
Count your perfect weeks
Set a weekly goal and every week you hit it is a perfect week. A 12-week chart shows how steady you have been.
Choose Fitbod if…
- you want an app to pick your exercises, sets, reps and weights every session
- you want workouts that plan around muscles that are still recovering
- you log from an Apple Watch or a Wear OS watch
- you want custom exercises, a rest timer and a plate calculator
Switching from Fitbod
Musclist cannot import your Fitbod history yet. Write down the exercises you do most, then build a workout for each training day, or log a session and save it to your routine in one tap. Your next session starts from the weights you enter.
Questions
Is Musclist really free?
Yes. There is no trial, no subscription and no ads.
How do the AI insights work?
They are optional. When you ask for your weekly report, AI analyses a summary of that week’s sets, without your name or email, and gives you notes on volume, muscle balance and what to adjust. It is information, not medical advice.
Does Musclist create workouts for me like Fitbod?
No. You build your own routine, such as Push, Pull and Legs, and Musclist suggests the next workout in your rotation with last time’s numbers. The weekly AI report tells you what to adjust.
Can I import my workouts from Fitbod?
Not yet. Your Fitbod history stays in Fitbod, and you start fresh in Musclist.
Does Musclist work on Apple Watch?
Not yet. Musclist runs on iPhone and Android.
